The getting-ready room is the only part of the day that repeats itself. Everything else happens once.
So I turn up, get the details, and then leave to light the ceremony while everyone is still in robes. I come back for the last twenty minutes, when the nerves are real and nobody is performing for me.
The footage is better and I stop arriving at the ceremony out of breath.
